Reassurance ultrasound?

So my fiancé is not really excited with me spending $70 to have a private ultrasound done for peace of mind. This is his first child and the first pregnancy he has experienced. However this is my 6th pregnancy. 4 of those 6 were miscarriages. He says I’m overthinking and paranoid because he just seen baby on ultrasound with a heartbeat on 2/24 at 9 weeks 3 days. The ultrasound was less than 2 minutes and very blurry. I scheduled a private ultrasound for this Saturday 3/6 I’ll be close to 10 weeks 5 days. Am I over doing this?

I don’t think you’re overdoing it if it gives you reassurance. $70 isn’t even that much for an US. I would totally go get one if I had a place that did it for that.

Yea this is over doing it in my opinion, it’s less than 2 weeks apart. I also don’t see what the harm is though, I guess aside from your husband not wanting to spend the $70, which I do understand. The ultrasound will ease your anxieties temporarily but will you be wanting to go back at 13 weeks, 15 weeks and 17 weeks?

My husband and I are doing this. We have a place bear us that charges $50 just to hear the heartbeat and record it in a stuffed animal. After a miscarriage I don’t think I can handle just waiting for dr appointments. I also plan to get a Doppler when I get further along. 10+6 today.

You're not over doing it at all. You do what yoy need to do. Pregnancy is long and hard and as long as you understand that a private ultrasound place likely cannot/ will not give you any medical information on your baby and how its health is, I say go for it and go for it as often as you need to. 
Pregnancy can be really hard on your mental health and seeing baby can help a ton to ease anxiety and make the wait less painful. 
I used to own a 3d ultrasound studio and I had clients who would come see me any time they were struggling mentally and personally, I plan to do the same this pregnancy. I had my dating scan on Feb 17th and I had a private scan on Feb 24th and I dont regret it one bit. Feeling like you get to spend time with baby while watching it in ultrasound can be so therapeutic.

NOT AT ALL - go for it!!  My situation is different in that my husband has been through my losses too and is just as nervous as I am, and therefore supportive of getting private ultrasounds.
I have had 4 miscarriages leading up to this pregnancy and even my husband was like hold on we have to wait how long between ultrasounds? 
I would plan it out so its between your last ultrasound and next to fill a gap personally.
But I had my last ultrasound at 9 1/2 weeks and don't have another until 20 weeks. So I'm scheduling one for 15 weeks to bridge that gap.
Whatever makes you more comfortable! Getting a doppler gave me comfort and reassurance.  My husband and I both look forward to "heart beat days" ❤

Maybe just get one of the at home sonogram machines. You can check for the heartbeat whenever you want.

We go in about 2 hours and to be honest I’m so nervous. 4 miscarriages one of which was a missed miscarriage. Baby stopped growing at 9 weeks and I was 11 weeks when we found out. I will be 11 weeks tomorrow. I have prayed so hard for this baby!
