When did you stop taking stool softeners after birth?

So scared to stop and go through the pain again 😅 but also don’t want to keep taking it if not needed

I only took them 2x in the hospital and then I ate high fiber foods.

Once everything seemed to be regular and not difficult or painful.  This last time took a while 🙄

Around 6 weeks PP, I stopped pain meds around 4 weeks

I stopped at about week 4-5 after a csection. I haven't found myself needing it since. You can stop taking them for a day or two and see how it works for you, if things aren't going smoothly or you start hurting then go back to taking them. That's kinda a, when you feel ready, kinda things. But if you think you should be good, then give it a try to stop taking them unless you find yourself needing it.
