They think I might have preclamsia?? HELP, idk what to do.

38+5 weeks. They said at every appointment, my blood pressure has been very high. They took it again at the end of this appointment and it was lower so they said I could get induced at 39 weeks or I could see how it goes at my next appointment? I’m not sure what to do ?? also baby is measuring 2 weeks behind. doctor said he’s 29.9% percentile which he said it’s “not that bad” I guess￼￼. He’s weighing 6lbs & 12oz. Which he said is good & everything looks good he’s just measuring smaller than 70% of other baby’s?? I think I’m freaked out. Everyone in my family is telling me not to risk it with the preeclampsia & I should get induced this weekend. Idk what I should do

Your baby will be fine. From what you say the baby sound perfectly healthy! No baby is going to be 100% healthy I believe you will be fine. When I was born I was born 6 weeks early and barley weighed 5 pounds but after a couple months I was a healthy happy baby

Why do you think you have preeclampsia? It’s multiple symptoms - see here

Basically it’s not just high blood pressure, but you should always go get checked if you have blurred vision and severe headache- you would have high protein urine levels if you have it. Your doctor would have let you know if you were developing it as it’s very dangerous.

Listen to your doctor, not your family.  I know they mean well but your doctors will know the right route to take.  Preeclampsia and pregnancy induced hypertension are different things too so if they haven’t diagnosed you with preeclampsia, it is probably just pih xx
