How long did it take you to dilated?

My OB did an exam and tried to do a sweep but said my cervix was really high up and only a little bit open she couldn’t fit in there. So I’m probably only 1 cm dilated. I know everyone is different but 
 I just want to hear some personal stories about how long it took you to go from 1cm dilated and high to “labor” ??

I was a 0 at my 37 week appointment and my OB said “it’ll be probably be a few weeks, I don’t think your going to go early” 
Went into labor that night lol 
Cervix can change very quickly and honestly being dilated or not doesn’t mean anything until you are in labor. Don’t be discouraged!

Well, I’ve been 2cm since 38 weeks and here I am at 41 weeks still nothing 😂

I got induced at 39 weeks. I was 1cm. I went from 1-10 in 5 hours. I think it has a lot to do with position of baby :)

I never did dilate much! I got to 4 cm in labour and then ended up in a c section

I’ve been 1cm dilated since 26 weeks. I’m almost 30 now. You can go weeks dilated with no change.

4 weeks with my first (had her a day early) and I went 8 days overdue with my second BUT when I did get to the hospital I was 6cm, fully effaced and my water was bulging and that was just a few days after them telling me she couldn’t even reach my cervix because it was so high

I was 1cm and still thick and she did one, at 5pm  Wednesday and that evening around 8 I lost my bloody show, but I lost mucus plug for 3 days starting Monday. 
My contractions come and go. But when I sit on my ball it’s been helping.
