Making plans without telling your partner?

Do you think it’s okay in a relationship (if you’re living together) to make plans with another person or by yourself without telling your partner anything about it until the last moment like for example.. an hour before leaving the house letting your partner know “I’m gonna go out in an hour  I made  plans with a friend ”
(And no I don’t mean spontaneous plans that just happened 5 min ago.. I mean things you’ve been planning for weeks or days )

I feel like the answer could vary depending on each individual relationship. Me and my husband always let the other know when we make plans. The only time we find out last minute is if the plans were made last minute. We do it out of respect for one another and just so we know what’s going on and can plan things accordingly. Everyone’s different though

i wouldn’t like that. feels like you’re purposely hiding something by doing that. but not technically wrong i suppose. i’d never do that unless i legitimately forgot

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal if it’s just a few hour hangout or something. Maybe they forgot or didn’t think it was a big enough deal to bring it up beforehand. But if they where leaving all day or for the weekend, I’d be a bit pissed.

Going out with friends for a couple hours-sure. 
Planning a Vegas trip for a weekend and planning to spend a lot of money-no way.

If they have been planned for a while, I expect to have known for a while so I don’t have to scramble to organize my day. We have a kid and dogs and that just doesn’t work for us. Luckily, we are on the same page about this.
