Pads vs Tampons discrimination?

Question

Ive heard this online, is it really true? 
Some women discriminate others for not using tampons by a certain age because pads are considered “childish”
They can shut the hell up, because Im a pad user and proud! 
What are your thoughts on this?
My thoughts are that we should wear whatever we are comfortable wearing ! I certainly hope this discrimination doesnt continue, and if you find yourself to be one of the bullies, try find some respect, we are in the same boat afterall ! :)

It goes both ways. Because I've been told, that maybe I'm just a nympho and like having something shoved in there all day. I just feel that women should mind their business when it comes to personal things like this. I don't fault or give anyone shit for using a pad, My preference is a tampon for the simple reason that I am super sensitive to smell and I find that some ppl can smell when a woman is on her monthly when she's wearing a pad, but not so much when wearing a tampon.

Honestly this isn’t stressed enough but women should feel comfortable in the own bodies and shouldn’t feel like they are being judged at anytime during their life ESPECIALLY when our little friend pays a visit every month. No women deserves to be judged by how they deal with their period. I use both pads and tampons because I’m a swimmer so I use tampons for swim training and pads for any other time. :)) what ever you feel comfortable with girl!

I wear whatever feels right for me that day/period. I use either a cup, tampons or pads. If I’m cramping more it’s a pad that day. no cramps a cup. I don’t feel like a cup, but I’m wearing leggings or tight pants, tampon it is. I try to listen what is best for my body and what I want to do. I love having options!

Yes there can be, it’s become this stigma (especially of a slightly older age) and you can get grief for not using tampon. I can’t stand them and only wear them when I have to so I agree with you. Each to their own

I've never used tampons could never get them quite right, the same when I tried cups a few years back. Have always used pads and have just gotten reusable alongside reusable period underwear from cheeky wipes

This was a big issue in middl and high school in the girl’s locker room. Idk if it was because other girls were grossed out at the thought of seeing a pad wing on another person’s underwear or what, but it was ridiculous. As I’ve gotten older I realized tampons made my cramps worse and even the lightest absorbency could make me feel dry. The stigma around period products that exist even through the society of vaginas is upsetting. Wear what is comfortable for you! Nobody needs to know what you use except for the person picking these items up and the cashier at the register and they shouldn’t be judging anything.
