Can HPV go away?

Most people will get HPV at some point in their life and not even know. It usually clears up on its own within 1-2 years. So yes, it can absolutely go away. Sometimes I does not, depends on the strain. There are hundreds of strains of HPV. How you ever had the vaccine? Gardasil? It helps prevent certain strains that are most likely to cause cervical cancer like 16 & 18. I recommend looking into it. Unfortunately it doesn’t always prevent cancer. I’ve had cervical cancer twice, but I have a different strain of HPV. I had abnormal paps for 15 years and just finally got my first “normal” result this year!
