Steak?

Question

I love steak! But I love it medium rare. Can I still eat steak? Or what temperature is it safe to eat at?

Steak should be fine at medium or medium rare bc it’s one piece from one animal, and any bacteria it picked up would be burned off with a good sear. It’s hamburger/ground meat you need to worry about cooking to well done, since it’s a bunch of different animals all mixed up with opportunity for bacteria to be introduced to the inside.

Of course you can have steak lol. I had it medium rare sometimes cause my dr said it was fine. No idea the temperature- I never paid asked lol

Yep that’s fine! If cooking it at home I always measure the temp with a meat thermometer just to be safe
