Is it bad/wrong for a 17 year old to be with a 24 year old?

Help a girl out I struggle with stuff like this. I’m going through a break up that happened a 2 months ago. The only attention I’m getting is from older guys no one as close to my age. This one guy I’ve started chatting to I’m falling for but I don’t know if it’s right or not😖

i’m sorry but what could a 24 year old man want with a 17 year old girl? what REAL older man thinks it’s okay to be with a girl so young.. what can you give him? you can’t buy a house, open a bank account without your parents, you’re still most likely in high school and it’s unrealistic asf. no hate to you, but involving yourself with older men will cause you trouble. i’m 17 myself, i just don’t see this being a positive thing.

it’s definitely definitely a bad idea
1) it’s illegal
there isn’t really a reason for a 24 year old to want to date a 17 year old. the gap is pretty wide, you’d still be in highschool while they’re nearly finishing college. there’s not a lot of shared activities and interests there.
it just makes me wonder like what they’re thinking going after a young girl. there’s just too much of a power dynamic going on there.
at 17 you still have a lot of life experience you gotta find, and you might not make the same judgements or have the same perception that you would when you’re 20 or 21. i was 17 like 3-4 years ago and the difference is crazy, i’m really glad i never made the decision to date someone so much older. odds are they may just wanna take advantage of your youngness. please be careful.

Depends on the circumstances. 
I was 17 & my partner 24 and we’ve been together for 8 years now. 
I was very mature for my age and made sure to wait to have sex so he wasn’t using me. 
He is the most loving partner and friend I ever could have asked for.

17 and 24 year olds are at very different stages in life and are at different levels of maturity (even if he says youre “mature for your age” which is a BIG RED FLAG). age gaps can be okay but when you’re that young they’re not good, and also you’re still a minor so the legality is also not good. i was in relationships with older people when i was younger and they’re generally predatory bc it’s easier to manipulate a younger person.

i would say no depending on where you live. for example, in my state the age of consent is 17, so *technically* it would be okay. if being with someone that much older aligns with your morals and you want to take that risk, that's your choice. personally I wouldn't do it.

I was in your shoes. Older men tend to pray on naive young women. Your young, and have a long life ahead of you. Take some time between your break up and learn who you are without a significant other. 
I was 18 years old in a relationship with a 25 year old. I loved him so much, but after a year in, he became abusive. I thought that if I tried harder, worked, brought home the money, and supported him, that it would get better. It started out as emotional abuse, then turned to physical. He slowly had me cut out my family and friends. 
Everyone around me told me that there was a reason that he was not with someone closer to his age. I thought I was more mature, but the truth was, he was as emotionally mature as me. If that makes sense. I wasted years with the guy, because I was so blind to the person he really was because I thought I found myself and older guy who really understood me. Little did I know it was manipulation. 
He cheated on me, abused me, took my money, my happiness, and worst of all he took me down to his level. 
You may not take my advice as sometimes you have to live it. But don't be like me and ignore the red flags, don't stay after the first time he hits you. 
There is someone out here that is equally yoked. That you can grow with and mature with.
