LO is 4.5 months old and had an elevated temp on friday on and off( was giving him tylenol) , then at night around 11 he started crying inconsolably( had no fever at that time), tried everything but nothing worked and we were just thinking to take him to emergency as we couldn’t figure out whats going on , then finally he passed out and slept, had elevated temp again saturday morning with some sneezing and little cough ,gave him motrin and he was okay, no cough or sneezing and temp was normal during day, was happy during evenig but around 9pm again started crying so bad that we had to take him to emergency, they did bloodwork and chest xray to rule out infection and pneumonia. All the results were normal and dr said he has common cold, he has very little cough but no runny or snotty nose. Does cold cause baby to cry so badfor hours at night??? Also could he be teething i see 2 tiny dots on lower central gums. I have been applying baby rub , also giving him motrin , using humidifier as well. He is sleeping right now but As the night is approaching my heart is sinking that he might be crying again soon. Please help me , any suggestions or sharing your experience is much appreciated.
