So just curious question after a assignment was given to my 7th grader. So my 7th grader was assigned a project. The said project is to write a persuasive piece on social justice or social injustice.

Regardless of your stance on the things going on in the world would you find this to be a acceptable assignment for a class of 7th graders that range the ages of 12-13?

Please explain why or why not . Just a bit curious because I thought it was bit of a serious subject to ask 12 and 13 year old kids to write about for various reasons .
