how do you lay your baby down to sleep?

I use to swaddle her and lay her down but the older she gets she wants to lay in my arms.. I can hold her and put her to sleep but the moment I put her down maybe 5 minutes later she’s awake crying. anyone else have the same problem? she’s 8 weeks

On her stomach. I’ve done this with all 3 and it works like a charm. I’ve never swaddled or anything like that.

Swaddle and white noise. I try to lay him down while he’s drowsy and not quite asleep yet. I read that doing it that way will help him self-soothe/fall asleep on his own if he wakes up again. Sometimes he’s not ready and will cry so I pick him up and rock him and try again in a few mins.

Swaddle, white noise and rocking puts my baby to sleep. We move him to the graco swing after so there is still some movement and after  a few mins move him to the bassinet that has worked for us. Else had the same issue he would fall asleep in the arm and wake up in 10min when we placed him on the bassinet

I use to swaddle. But he strained so much cause he hated it that it made him throw up/ he has acid reflux. But I feed/burp and let him knock out on my chest. Then lay him down. I make sure he’s covered up tightly (lower body only) and he normally goes right to sleep and stays asleep for atleast 3 hours.

Mine does both. We try to make it so that she doesn’t always fall asleep on us. When we see she’s getting sleepy, we’ll put her in her bassinet with her pacifier or give her her thumb and let her fuss through it a little bit. We don’t swaddle her during the day. At night, she gets her bottle, sits up for a little bit, gets swaddled and read to, and then put in her bassinet with her pacifier. We just started the night time routine a week or two ago, but she’s been sleeping 6-8 hours for the past month (she’s 2 months now).

I have the same problem but only in the day 🤷🏼‍♀️ at night we swaddle I feed, most of the time she falls asleep while feeding, ill put her down and turn white noise on. She either stays completely asleep or wriggles around for 5/10 mins before going back to sleep 😬🤞🏻
