Why is my stomach so hard...?

39 weeks 6 days and my stomach has been hard almost constantly since last night.  I did have my bloody show yesterday but have had no contractions.  I layed in a warm bath and am drinking lots of water to try and relax it but no use.
Anyone else experienced this?

The first time this happened I was sooo scared I thought he was in distress!! But it seems normal and it happens more, I think it’s the body feeling out contractions and maybe like a longer version of BH.

Babes are so big now they are stretching and pushing. The find a comfy position and stay there making your belly tight. Happens to me all the time, too. I chalk it up to that and Braxton Hicks. This is my second and they def are not contractions. Just pregnancy getting uncomfortable since were at the end and getting close.

I’m 38+2 and have been trying to figure this out too. I thought Braxton Hicks contractions were supposed to be quick but my stomach tightening goes on for 5-10 minutes at a time and sometimes for what seems like most of the day. I don’t know what to make of it. I think it’s normal but would love to hear what others have to say.
