Would you get vaccinated pregnant?

No judgement! This is to just settle a debate between me and my cousin :)

Just got my second vaccine today. The science behind it is not unknown and ACOG published an article that solidified my decision to get it. If my baby can have some degree of immunity while he’s tucked inside my belly, he may have a better chance at not getting sick of it when he comes out

Flu, tdap, covid, ✅ ✅ ✅, I understand it’s a complicated and personal decision but as a front line healthcare worker I did what I thought was best for me and my family. I totally understand why you would decide either way.

Depends on the vaccination. I had the flu shot and the tdap vaccine while pregnant and had no problem with it.
When it comes to the covid vaccine, I'm passing on that while pregnant...I'm also not eligible for it so it doesn't really matter.

I am fully vaccinated at 34 weeks.  Knowing I will not die or be hospitalized from COVID + that I most likely will pass antibodies on to my otherwise unprotected newborn is 100% worth it. There is no greater risk with this vaccine than the flu shot or tdap, which pregnant people receive routinely.  My OB and pediatrician fully supported it too.

It doesn't protect you from getting covid just makes your symptoms less severe. Since having covod during pregnancy i don't feel comfortable exposing my baby to a vaccine that may cause him even more unknown side effects

It depends on the line of work. If I was in a high risk job then yes but I work behind a desk and rarely come in contact with people, anyone I do talk to is outside my office door with a mask on. So I'm very low risk and feel it can wait until after the baby

Interesting result! I told people I was not getting it pregnant and faced a little judgement from non-pregnant people. Am happy to see I’m not the minority among pregnant women

Depends on risk of exposure. If i was a frontline worker it would be something I’d strongly consider, esp as more research is showing favorable. I am not at elevated risk so i haven’t gotten it.
