Paid a bill late- affect my co-signer?

Hi everyone I am freaking out a little 
I paid my student loan bill 4 days late.  My dad is my co-signer so I’m worried this is going to affect his credit.  
A little background incase this is relevant-  my loan is 8 years old and I’ve never missed a payment or paid late.  I’m really on top of it, but I just completely forgot until my husband brought it up to me 🙈🙈🙈🙈.  I’m hoping since this is literally the first late payment it won’t be too bad.  I am worried about my credit but more so worried about my dads.  Google gave me mixed responses.  Does anyone know?

I dont think so. I think once its 30 days late it sent to credit companies.

His credit and yours will be fine lol. And even IF the credit score goes down , it’ll only be few points and it will bounce right back up in couple weeks or a month. 4 days late shouldn’t cause it to go down though so don’t worry too much about it

I don’t think so as long as it’s paid but you can always check in with the bank to make sure

It depends what they consider late. If they do consider it late, you can always call and ask them to “forgive” the lateness (since it’s your first) so that it won’t affect your credit.

I think there’s a grace period before they report late payments to the credit

call them and ask. i have a grace period of 5 days for my car loan through the bank. i have paid it late accidentally and nothing happened.
