Hi everyone, I'm 23 and I've had regular periods for 12 years and I had the copper coil. I became pregnant whilst on the coil and had an abortion in November. My periods didn't return and sex was painful after. I've since had one period and the pain hasn't gone. During a scan they diagnosed me with PCOS. I had plenty of scans before and never had cysts. I can't help feeling despite what the doctors say, that the abortion caused the PCOS. Everything was fine and healthy before, I was clearly very fertile as I got pregnant on the most effective contraception and now I have no periods?! My main concern was that I missed my only chance to have a baby. Anyone had the same experience or have any advice?
