Why is my dog acting like this..?

Our dog of 5 years is suddenly fearful of my husband. We adopted her together as a puppy and she is equally loved. All of a sudden she skirts around him and cries if he pets her. She runs behind my legs. My husband is really upset because if anything, she is more his dog than mine. She used to be obsessed with him and even stopped eating and became depressed when he deployed in 2019. It was a whole ordeal. Now for the past week she acts terrified of him.

No... he doesn’t secretly hurt her or anything. He’s extremely confused why she’s behaving this way. He is the one that cares for her the most, feeds, bathes, walks her, so I don’t know why she has suddenly attached herself to me.

Any ideas?
