Pregnancy issue and miscarriage

So my aunt thinks she miscarried February 18th but today she thought she noticed today her umbilical cord is hanging out. She went to the doctor today and they said she has cysts and she still has a sack and her blood levels still say she’s pregnant. Since that day she’s been on bleeding profusely. Any ideas what this could be?

Story line

She had a thyroid storm November of last year and she didn’t cooperate. We couldn’t take her outside because she was paranoid and would run in front of cars. She is now back to normal but now there’s something wrong with this miscarriage.
