My SO thinks it is selfish to ask people to buy you things. I asked about stuff to add to the registry and he was like no I don’t like asking people for things?

Our families are going to want to get us stuff... I’d rather them get them what we’d want rather than random things.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think it’s weird to “ask” people for gifts?

He said it’s our child so we should be the ones to provide for it. I get that but again, we both have large loving families that would love to help out!
