How much are you supposed to give your newborn a bath?

I’m a FTM and I am currently pregnant rn and my MIL was “teaching me about newborn care” and she said she bathed her newborns EVERYDAY.. In my head I was like “hmm aren’t you supposed to not do that..?” How much is it recommended to bathe your newborn?? I don’t want her to be pressuring me to do it since she is that type of way..🙄 So I wanna be properly educated first and tell her how it is so she doesn’t think it’s everything her way.
