Would you call the hospital or am I just wasting their time?

I had my covid vaccination yesterday and from 8/9pm last night I can’t stop shaking, I have a high temperature, my bones are aching, I have a thumping headache and I can hardly open my eyes. Would you call the hospital to see if this is normal and what steps I should take? Or do you think they’ll say it’s just side effects and to rest?

I pretty much had the same after my second. I just alternated Tylenol and ibuprofen and slept it off

If anything I would call your family doctor. The hospital won’t be able to tell you anything because giving medical advice over the phone isn’t allowed. Your family doctor though might be able to let you know if it’s normal or if you need to be seen

Okay so I said relax and just wait it out but after seeing that everyone else said that if you're having those kind of symptoms and you're scared it's okay to call the hospital and see if it's normal.

I do think it’s just the side effects but it’s better to be safe and contact the hospital or speak to your primary care. My husband got the shot and he said “his bones are aching” and was extremely fatigued with a sore arm. I let him rest, gave an ice pack for his sore arm and when he said “bones are aching,” I gave him Tylenol. My other family members and in laws that have received it all felt the same and took Tylenol. My FIL felt the same but along with diarrhea. I would say alternate between Tylenol and ibuprofen especially if you have a fever. Contact your primary care physician to be safe. Don’t be scared. I know so many people who have received the vaccine and after the initial side effects are okay. I would say it takes 4-5 days to feel better at most.

Take some tylenol. The fever makes everyone feel like crap. If the fever doesnt break then give them a call.

My husband had the same reaction, but it only lasted throughout the night. If you think something is wrong, go ahead and call!
