Need honest opinion

I went in today for an early ultrasound. I’ve had 2 miscarriages previously so my doctor wanted me to come in around 6 weeks to check my progress. I went in today thinking I was 6 weeks and 2 days. The ultrasound tech said she saw the gestational sac and the yolk sac that’s all and said I’m measuring around 5 weeks and a few days. Is this normal? Has this ever happened to anyone and everything turn out fine?
