In a life or death situation would you breastfeed someone else’s child or vise vera?
This was brought up in a youtube comment section and I was shocked at some of the replies. This is a hypothetical situation obviously, so before the “I don’t/can’t breastfeed” “I’m a man” or “I don’t have a kid” type comments come, just pretend lol.
If something happened, let’s say you got marooned on an island or the apocalypse came and you where all sheltered or something occurred where no one can get formula, and you died or couldn’t nurse for some reason but someone was there who could, would you be okay with/allow them to feed your child? Or vise versa and someone else’s baby was starving and you could nurse them to keep them alive.
To me, this is easy. I’d want my baby or the other baby to stay alive. Others said they’d feel to uncomfortable or weird do it , which I can understand maybe being a bit uncomfortable but I think that should be pushed aside when it comes to keeping them alive.
