I’m considering changing clinics. Been doing mostly embryo banking and now have switched gears and am doing fresh cycles. (Had one early miscarriage and two negatives.)

My original doctor I started with changed clinics and we couldn’t follow due to distance. But she will be opening up another office for them much closer to us for monitoring appts etc. When we found this out we got sort of excited. But also nervous. Is it possible since she’s seen me before that I don’t have to transfer my medical records... could we leave what’s been banked there for now and quietly walk away?!

My current clinic isn’t bad by any means. It’s a smaller no frills boutique. But I’ve been getting the sense that the doctor is pulled in too many directions. Hired on an NP when my doctor left to handle some appts (love nurses... but at the price I’m paying, I want to see a doctor). The approach is just starting to feel stale. And I think since I’ve been through a fair number of cycles, nothing is really explained anymore kind of like - oh she’s back again, she knows the drill. The girls in the office are great. But we’re starting to wonder if thats enough to keep us vs consult with my old doc or even someone else.

Anyone ever gone through this? It’s kind of nerve wracking!
