So my son is fully potty trained when he is completely naked from the waist down, which work out great when we are at our house or one of the grandparents (we have toilets there). He is so independent that he will go to the potty himself, do his business, empty his potty into the big potty, and wash his hands. (I do not expect him to empty the potty on his own but he likes doing it)

For some reason whenever we put on underwear it’s like he forgets he’s potty trained. We tried the walking him to the toilet every 30 minutes, following his cues, when he has an accident not getting angry or frustrated, putting him on the toilet and saying next time tell us or come to the potty himself. When he has accidents he absolutely freaks out to the point he hits his head in frustration. We have tried to get him in underwear twice now, we do the steps for 3 days but stop since he gets so frustrated it’s just not a good experience for him and wears him down.
