My 19month old twins dont really talk much, just cry scream, or make noises like “ah” or “eh” and the basics “mama”, “dada” and occasionally “hi”. They bable occasionally but mostly whine.

They can comprehend a lot of what we say and follow directions pretty well. And they point at things. The Dr said she wasnt too concertbut because she doesnt see them again until they are 2, she doesnt want wait until 2 to see if they are talking.

Has anyone done speech therapy? What should we expect?

My husband thinks its just gonna be like “okay here is three words to practice this week and we will see again next week” type thing.
