Ultrasound fail

So I'm feeling kinda down. My ultrasound yesterday turned into a disaster. The tech couldn't find my baby. I was thinking I'm at least 7 weeks. They took blood and said they were going to watch my levels to see if they drop or rise. But to stay positive and maybe I'm not far along enough. I go tomorrow for my second blood draw. It's just so hard not knowing what's going on! No one will tell me anything besides just be positive. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this before?
