So within the last 2 years I’ve had maybe 5 periods total, well last month I learned that was because I had a brain tumor that releases too much of a hormone called prolactin. Too much prolactin causes a drop in estrogen which means I can’t ovulate which means I’m infertile.

Well my doctor started me on meds that are supposed to stop the over-production of prolactin to bring my estrogen back up so I can ovulate and have normal cycles.

We have been ttc for months with no luck and the news of my tumor just broke me at the thought of never being able to get pregnant. But to my surprise, THE MEDS ARE WORKING

I have had normal cycles for the last 3 months and have been having a lot of discharge the past few days (I’m on cycle day 19) and decided it couldn’t hurt to take an ovulation test

I figured it was going to be negative like always but there it is!! I am so elated that I am actually ovulating and my body is doing what it is supposed to do for the first time in years that I won’t even be upset if we don’t get pregnant this cycle because now I have hope that we can try again next cycle 😭😭😭
