I have not been called mommy
I need to vent. I've been having concerns that my 3-year-old might have autism. I am finally getting the courage to ask his provider for a reference to see a specialist to have him diagnosed. He took speech therapy for 6 months and had very little improvement. He says few words here and there but no sentences. It breaks my heart that I haven't been called Mommy. I worry for him so much. My husband and I recently found out that we are pregnant with our 2nd child. I am afraid that I won't give him all the attention he needs. I'm hoping and wishing that one day he will say a sentence and call me mommy. How do parents with autistic children do it?
