Im 14 and still dont shave ⬇️⬇️ but i’m now at the point where i don’t feel comfortable wearing a bathing suit etc because of it. My mum taught me how to shave my legs and armpits but hasn’t mentioned shaving down there. Would you say I should just do it or should i wait for her to say something? What did you do when you wanted to shave there for the first time?

I would maybe trim the hair but don’t shave it all the way because honestly the ingrown hairs are a pain in the ass.

Screw shaving down there, most guys don’t care and it itches and burns like hell. I have cute swim shorts that make my butt look great and cover the pubes!

Your mom probably won’t say anything unprovoked, tbh. I would get a trimmer and keep it trimmed, only shaving the parts visible in a bikini. Ingrown hairs are a bitch and it itches like crazy when it starts to grow back (because of ingrowns)
If you really want to go hairless down there, look up tips online to prevent/avoid ingrown hairs. Good luck

honestly just do it yourself. if it’s something you really want to do, do it. look up youtube videos on the best way to do it! it’s tricky at first but you’ll get used to it. i really don’t see why you shouldn’t be “allowed” to do it

I just shaved on my own when it got to be a problem for me because my mom is old school and always had hair there but maybe she trimmed idk but back when she was young a clean one wasn’t the same but I agree with others maybe just buy some trimmers and fully shave what’s visible in a bikini 😅 I didn’t have problems with ingrowns or razor burn to bad when i was younger and first started shaving but now I’m 26 and literally it’s the worst I cant even wear panties after shaving because of the razor  burn 🔥 I started waxing (going to a professional) and then decided to do laser but now I’m pregnant so trying to shave again but itsso uncomfortable I’m assuming as I got older and all the shaving made my hair coarser and skin more sensitive skin
