PMDD: Birth control pills and hormonal IUD together?

Hello sisters,
I have really terrible depression and anxiety around the coming of the monthly magical times. 
Sure mood swings are the destiny of estrogen, but I get thoughts of self harm, migraines, and difficulty breathing sometimes and it really doesn’t get so fun. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Interesting thing is, I got prescribed birth control pills for the first time and I was pretty surprised that I am able to take them even with my hormonal IUD.  🧐 Apparently, hormonal IUD does not stop ovulation as other types of birth control (pills, Depo Provera, arm implant) do. 🙄 *insert surprised pikachu face*

Any ways, has any other ladies done such a thing for PMDD? I’m curious as to what the long term side effects of this would be. 🥺

hormonal iud DOES stop ovulation, the only one that doesn’t is the copper iud which is non hormonal. https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/birth-control/iud/hormonal-iuds

I was on Yaz for a bit with my IUD, but I have the copper IUD. The BC pills made my PMDD so much better but I bled every day with it and had zero sex drive and got so short of breath, my gyno took me off the Yaz and now I’m on Zoloft. Hopefully the pill works out better for you, PMDD sucks.

I would closely monitor any symptoms you have, I had the iud and was placed on bc pills as well and they made me so sick I couldn't even keep water down. I couldn't eat or drink anything until after I stopped bc completely, even getting the iud out
