Toddler cast

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. My toddler broke his finger. The break is pretty bad so they wanted to put it in a cast. Long story short, the first cast was removed by him the second we walked out the door. The second was taken off the minute we got home. They want to put another one on tomorrow. Anyone know any tips or tricks to getting him to keep it on? He didn’t take it off to be naughty or because it was bothering him either time. He’s only two and I think I didn’t have enough time either time to explain it to him. He also is sensitive to textural things so maybe that was a contributing fact. Thanks in advance!!
