Two Rounds of Clomid in one cycle?

Question

I started Clomid this month, 50mg, but at my follicular ultrasound on CD13 there weren’t any follicles over 8mm so they decided that day to do another round of Clomid starting that night and doubling the dose to 100mg. She said that we’ll act as if I’m at CD3 without waiting for another cycle to start. 
I have another follicular ultrasound scheduled for the new “CD12”. 
Has anyone else experienced this?

That happened to me my first IUI cycle. I did wind up getting pregnant that cycle but unfortunately our baby stopped growing at 10 weeks.

Yes, I went through the same exact thing and that cycle conceived my now 3.5 year old.

This happened to me, but with Letrozole, not clomid.  When they increased my dose, 2 follicles ended up growing. Unfortunately, that cycle was a negative.

I did this last cycle with clomid and the letrozole. I didn’t get a bfp but it did help my follicles grow and i guess it was better they tried this instead of starting my period right away..
