How is it with 2 kids with a 3 year age gap?

Question

Pregnant with my second.  My first will be just a couple months over 3yrs when the new baby is born.  Give it to me straight, moms of multiples, what am I getting myself into? 🤣

My 3 year old loves her 1 month old brother. So does me 7 year old and 10 year old and 11 year old lol. I swear I gave birth for them 😂

My daughter was 3.5 when my daughter was born and she acted happy but really was angry. It took a good 6 weeks to get her used to the whole idea. The baby is 9 weeks and most of the jealousy is gone and the cuteness between them has taken over.

There's really no predicting how it'll be. My oldest was nearly 3 when her sister was born and she barely acknowledged her for at least 9 months. Now they're 2 and 5 and get along for the most part but they have wildly different personalities. That first year really sucked though.

My daughter was 3 when my son was born & I think its the perfect age gap, for me anyway. She was old enough to be independent & help me a bit with baby (she was potty trained so that helped) but still close enough in age it wont be a huge gap when they are older. Im now pregnant again with another 3 year age gap, son will be 3 & daughter 6, my son is attached to my hip & a little behind in milestones, he isnt talking much yet or potty trained & not so independent so im expecting this time around to be a little harder

I had my second when my oldest was 3 years old as well. Now they’re 7 and 4. They fight A LOT, but they’re both boys lol but they are also the best of friends when they want to be. My 4 year old likes to act like he’s 7 too so there’s that 🙄

My 3 yr old boy adores his little brother,  I include him in almost everything,  from changes ( he passes me diapers,  wipes etc) to bath time( he knows only mom and dad can bathe his brother bc its dangerous) the noise is a small problem but he tries. He tip toes and tells ppl to be quiet when baby's sleeping 😴 . He's very independent and completely potty trained

Our third was born a couple months before our twins turned 3. They were soo precious with him, there were a couple of jealous moments but not too bad. They do want to help and mine would try to pick him up which was terrifying. But mostly they were very good with him. And a lot of times would help by dancing or singing to entertain him. I was exhausted because he was a very high maintenance baby. And now at 5.5 and 2.5 they play together all the time I mean they fight also but they play a lot and the 2.5 yr old copies everything they do and they love showing him how to do stuff. My 2 yr gap kids I have more problems. The 2.5 yr old gets very jealous of the baby when the big kids are at school and will try to push or pull her out of my arms luckily she is a very easy baby and I have the time and energy to play with him most of the time

My stepdaughters are three years apart. When they were young they were absolute best friends and did everything together. As they got older the age gap got more apparent and now they don’t spend much time together unless we do family activities. But they still love each other like crazy. They’re 10 and 13. That age gap will be nothing again in just a few years.
