Is getting pregnant as easy as my mom says it is?

Hey I’m 18 and I legit just started having sex with my boyfriend for the first time. My mom has always warned me repeatedly that sex will definitely get me pregnant. I was raised super religious too so I’m just kinda nervous. I really love with this guy and having sex with him is amazing. I’m just scared concerned about these consequences.

as long as you’re correctly using contraceptives your chances of getting pregnant and having it stick are extremely low. pregnancy while using protection is usually due to user error. without it though it’s kinda hard to say if it’s “easy” or not, some couples get pregnant right away and some perfectly healthy couples could take a year or more to get pregnant. there’s a whole crazy science to it lol but like i said proper use of contraceptives is a fool proof way to avoid pregnancy

If you are taking precautions and using protection its not likely you will get pregnant. I would say get your partner to wear a condom, put yourself on some sort of birth control, pill, IUD, Implant, which ever you think is best for you, and track your period so you have an idea when you are ovulating and avoid having sex during that week.

Use condoms and the pull out method, you should be safe that way. Also, track your period and ovulation. Dont have sex during your ovulation window and that'll make u safer. The app isnt 100 percent correct but it's close.

I got pregnant first time, five times and a few of those cycles I only had sex once unprotected in my fertile window, one time my partner washed his penis with soap and then put it back in for one second and I got pregnant, we didn’t hVe sex any other time that month. You’ll never know your fertility until you try, but with your age it’s very possible four highly fertile.
