What was the longest time you were single?

Did you felt lonely during that period?
How did you manage dealing with that?
Did you ever had phases you though you will end up all alone for the rest of your life?
I'm 24 and I have been single since march 2016.

Embarrassed to say I've never gone more than 3 months maybe 4 , single. I've been married for 9 years now but before that I dated alot never slept around though if that counts for something 🤔😅

I started dating my partner 2 years ago and before him I had spent a whole 10 years alone. There’s nothing wrong with me, I just hadn’t met anyone I liked enough who was also available and interested in me. During those years there were a lot of rough patches where I was lonely and my self esteem suffered a lot. But I also enjoyed a decade of doing whatever I wanted to, got a degree, started a great career, traveled, met amazing friends. And when I met my partner, all those bad feelings of inadequacy melted away and it was just right. It happened when it was meant to happen!

Five years. I wasn't lonely I was having fun! Lots of great time with friends and casual dates here and there. I wasn't at a point in my life I wanted a relationship. I occasionally felt like I'd never find "the one" but I just kept faith he'd come along some day. He did and we've been married five years now.

i was single for about a year before i met my second. i was only single about 3 months before i started talking to my now fiancé. and yea in that year i did feel lonely. i felt like shit after my second ex broke up with me too. my fiancé was going to be a casual thing but then i accidentally fell in love with him (good lord he’s a handful lmao). it was clear that he was the one just how he responded to certain things. he’s been through hell with me and put up with so much. **TW** he stayed with me when i impulsively took way too much NSAIDs and loved me enough to take time off work to get in contact with my psychiatrist to get me out of the psych ward.** the best part is that i never expected any of this to happen. i’m sure you’ll find someone. if i can be loved, so can you. just don’t rush it man, you’ll be alright. if you want someone to talk to you can always shoot me a message
