When do you clean out the dryer lint filter?

A) when you put the load in the dryer. 
B) when you take the load out of the dryer.
My husband and I are not agreeing on this lol I'm just curious how most people do it.

Load the clothes, and empty the vent before starting the dryer!

When a load is done I first empty the water/condense tank, then the lint filter, then take out the clothes.

i empty the load, then the lint catch and then put a new load in. i don’t like the leftover lint in the air when i put my new clothes in lol. idk if that makes sense

I make sure its clean before the clothes get put in and I stop the dryer and take the little put that has already collected half way through , and again when they are dry 😂😂 I'm super weird though. It can honestly be a fire hazard and I don't want my dryer catching fire because of build up .

I put a new load of laundry in and then clean out the lint trap before I start the dryer

Take clothes and lint out is common courtesy because then when you have wet clothes in your hands they don’t take all the lint back into the machine with them. Take everything out all at once.

I clean it out as I'm emptying. If I'm washing something the dog has enjoyed (her pillow covers, blanket, towels post dog bath or swim), I will also stop and empty out the hair mid cycle.

I always clean the vent after each load. My husband is the same. We do our own laundry and it's not his job to clean the trap after I'm done and vice versa. We leave the lint trap clean for each other.

As long as it’s emptied before starting another load I don’t really think it matters.

I like to start with a clean slate, always. I clean right after I cook, I clean after I make any mess, and I have asked my husband to to the same. Also I clean the drier filter after I take the load out...
That way I never have to have major cleanups. Just light and fast deep cleans from time to time.
