Karo syrup for constipation?

Does anyone still use this? I have had 3 people tell me to use this but there babys are grown, so is this still something people use?

We use apple juice. 1oz once per day as needed. We treat it as a medicine not as part of her diet.

I think she is an important factor here. How old is baby?

How old?  Is baby truly constipated (pain when pooping, hard poops) or just going some time between bowel movements?  It’s totally normal for them to go several days without pooping.  If they’re truly constipated and on formula, i would try a different one and see if that helps.  I’d also add probiotics to one bottle a day before going to juice.  Karo syrup is an outdated recommendation but some old school doctors still suggest it

I used it some about 6 years ago. I would use it again if my son ever gets constipated. I usually try apple juice first.

I give my 8 month old a prune everyday for breakfast. Works like a charm
