Has anyone tried menstrual cups? I have thought about trying it, but obviously I’m a little nervous..

Yes menstrual cups are life changing!  No more needing to take my purse to the bathroom or having anxiety that my period will start when I'm out in public (I wear it when I think it's coming so it's already in when it starts). It took a few cycles to get the hang of it so wear a pad with it the first few times.  I'll never go back to tampons!  I like the Saalt brand because the stem is softer than other brands and doesn't cause irritation.

loooove my cup so much! it has made 10 hour shifts at the hospital a breeze. I had the Nuva Ring before so I'm super comfortable with my body/vag, if you're not it may take some time and practice but I 100% recommend them.

Ive been using a Diva Cup for about 10 years now. For me, its been a game changer. I cant imagine not using it now. If positioned correctly, I dont even feel that its there. It doesnt dry you out like tampons either, plus no chemicals. I suppose out and about it can be more of a challenge, but otherwise its great. I wear cotton fabric washable pads along with it just in case it leaks, which it usually doesnt. Saves alot of money in the long run, too.

Finding cups was a game changer for me. Helped me to not completely hate my period - only have to empty mine every 12hr. There is a learning curve as you can imagine. When I first started I tried them only on my days off from work so I could get it positioned right lol. Also YouTube videos were a lifesaver.

So I'm allergic to tampons and sanitary towels so decided to try a cup last year. It took me 4 cycles and finding the right instructions on YouTube to become leak free but totally worth it! You just need to know where and how your cervix is positioned on each change to get positioned best. I'll add I have a very tilted cervix that is in a different position on every change! At the beginning I paired it with reusable pads to cover me for when I hadn't quite got the placement correct, now I use a pad on heavy days when busy/sleeping, just for the extra security. On my heavy days I empty it 3-4 times, instead of changing tampons 1-2hourly! You can have them in up to 12 hours so when I go to bed at night I empty it and that's it til morning. On my medium days I only change it after 12 hours and will only be about half full. So worth it. I have 3, one for use, one for sterilising and one for my work bag incase of surprise period

It took me a cycle or 2 to get the hang of it, finding the right fold for me etc.  Definitely do your research.  I took the Putacupinit quiz and i picked Lena bc its made in USA.  And I believe so is SAALT.

I would recommend watching the YouTube channel “Put a Cup in it”... the ladies on there talk and review tons of cups and explain how to find your right fit for your cervix. I was drawn to the Tampax brand cups because the ladies mentioned that since the company has a lot of money, they could fund research to see what works best for a woman’s body. I’m so glad I went with it and I sometimes forget I’m on my period til late at night when I’m like “I was supposed to do something”

I use the fun cup because that’s what was available at my store so I figured I’d try it and it works amazing! 
One thing I recommend is to squat and see if you can feel your cervix with your fingers. If you can feel it then it’s easier to find when you go to place the cup.
It takes a couple tries to get it so I’d recommend wearing a pad the first few times until you’re super confident you’ll be leak free.
