Pregnancy seat belt

I been researching how safe a seat belt is during pregnancy. From what i see its safe but also not safe if you get into a accident the normal seat belt in the car can harm baby. Has anyone used the pregnancy seat belt adjusters, i seen them and heard a pregnancy woman should use it. Need some thoughts or advice.
