Would a haakaa help build a stash?

I’m EBF my 14 week old son. And I haven’t had a ton of success with pumping (maybe 2oz at a time when I pump) but if been doing reading and people say a haakaa on your opposite breast while feeding will help build a stash. Has anyone has success with one? Would you recommend that? 
Some background: my husband and I’s anniversary is coming up and we would love the day “away” from the kids. Just to have some alone time since we haven’t had any in almost a year. So I need to be able to pump or have a small stash for my mom to feed him for a day. Plus it would be nice to have some alone time and my husband feed him occasionally

Yes I’d highly recommend you try it. Also useful for times when you’re too lazy to pump but need some relief - can just attach the haakaa and watch tv!

I have a 5 week old and have used the haaka on opposite side when I feed pretty much this whole time
And between both breasts during a feed I can get 3-5 oz at a time. I have a pretty large stash from haaka alone, I haven’t counted but I would say over 300 3-5 oz baggies of frozen milk. 
The 5oz haaka that has suction base works better for me though, the smaller one doesn’t have as strong of a suction.
It’s not too pricey, give it a try!

honestly at around that time was when I tried to pump with my daughter and I wasn’t getting output either because my boobs weren’t used to it. I would get droplets eventhough my boobs were full! 
So you could keep trying with the pump and make sure the flange fits.
Try the haakaa
Or even try a manual pump that actually worked better at first until I got used to the electric pump again.

You can try hand expression! Sometimes it helps express more milk than pumping. There are several IBCLCs on instagram that have good information on hand expression if that’s something you’d want to try.
I had oversupply before my milk regulated so I leaked enough during night feedings to store a little, but if your supply has regulated a haakaa may not work as well.

I made enough milk to nurse my baby and I pumped a huge stash that lasted the full year i breastfed. That being said the haaka did nothing for me. I think I caught about 10 drops of milk. It was so not worth it to me. If you get one as a gift then keep it and try it out. If not, I wouldn’t waste my money on one.

If you have a good amount of letdown then yes it should help catch what leaks.
For me it didn’t work because I don’t have a massive supply.
I would put it on while breastfeeding and only get less than a half an ounce so I was kind of pointless for me.
