Insulting someone's ability to preform sexually when you're in an intimate relationship with them is a totally different ballpark than a joke. I'm not sure why you came here to air your grievances in your relationship when you only want others to agree with you.
Maybe do the adult thing and talk to him and see why he's upset. Humble yourself a little bit and understand that the world doesn't just revolve around you. Even if you don't see why that might hurt him doesn't diminish how he feels. He's a person too.
