I moved into a new complex. I can already tell management is a bitch to work with! They lowered me in with kindness but have proven to be unprofessional. Anyways, In the lease it talks about the option to write a letter to the landlord about adding locks to which I’m told in person extra locks are not allowed at all. Why did they put it in the lease if they won’t consider it at all?

I’m a single young female. Any security helps. Although I bought external locks to help so it’s whatever. I got past that.

Anyways, in my lease it says I agree not to install a washer and dryer unit. In my head I’m thinking of a full on unit. I do not plan on that. Although would bringing in one of those portable compact washers be okay if I tried sneaking it in? I’ve watched videos and all you have to do is plug it in and get water from the shower. Doesn’t appear too loud. My landlord claims the floors are sound proof.

Would I be testing my limits with this?
