Is your child using utensils when eating?

Just wondering where everyone else is at with utensils!
My little one is getting better but she doesn’t quite understand how to use them correctly yet. Like she is finally starting to stab with a fork but she just dips the spoon in things instead of scooping. Is this normal? I’m probably concerned for no reason. 😅

Clicked the wrong response. But we don’t give him a fork. Just a spoon or spork. He eats with it well. Since he’s started eating by himself I always gave him a utensil with his food even if he didn’t use it and he slowly started using it more and more.

My daughter gets so distracted with the utensil she will stop eating until she’s done playing with it. We will try giving her utensils every now and then but really don’t even try lol. Idk a single adult in my life who can’t use silverware, so I know she’ll figure it out eventually!

We actually just started giving our son a fork at dinner time. But only did it because he was pissed seeing us use a fork and him not having one the other night 😂 he’s doing better with it after a few nights. And with a spoon sometimes he’ll use it and then other times he’s not getting the food fast enough so then he’ll just use his hand 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
