Whenever my boyfriend’s son’s mom calls, he always goes to the other room and whispers on the phone. Even when I can clearly tell that he’s speaking to his child, he’s whispering. We have been joined at the hip for almost a year now and the fact that he goes out of his way to keep me separate from his family life. If my mom or siblings call, I simply just take the call right then and there. When his people call, he sneaks off to another room. I have never met any of his family and i wasn’t introduced to the friends we accidentally ran into at the skate park— they went out of their way to speak to me because I was awkwardly standing off to the side. I don’t even think anyone in his life knows I exist.

Really beginning to think that he doesn’t take me seriously at all and I’m pretty much wasting my time. What are your thoughts? When did you introduce your children and families to your S/O?
