I’m looking for stories on how you felt in the days/weeks after getting your hormonal IUD’s removed. Specifically mirena. How long did it take for your periods to resume? Did they go back to how they were before or did your cycle completely change?

After weeks of being sick and in pain an ultrasound revealed my IUD has shifted and I have opted to just get it removed. I’ve been having some other issues too (other hormonal imbalances, weight gain, depression) that I’m wondering if they’re caused by the IUD as well so I want to stay off birth control for a while. I’m just curious to see what to expect.
