Pros and Cons of Local Grandparents

Hey ladies! My parents want to move into our town since they will be grandparents. They’ve been very adamant on living less than 10 minutes away yet haven’t voices why so close. My husband and I are worried they are expecting to basically coparent or tell us how to parent. And this is not something we want. We obviously want them nearby and to be part of our kids lives but we want to make it clear that they can step back and take on the role as grandparents and not feel the need to control us as parents. Can anyone else share their experience or thoughts on grandparents wanting to live super close?
