She’s always in my business

I posted on here before about leaving to basic training very soon and how I’ve recently been talking to this guy. My mother keeps saying that I’m giving him false hope and that I should stop talking to him. From the beginning I’ve told him that I only have a few weeks left before I leave and he was completely fine with that. He said that he wants to continue talking and that he really is interested in me so we’ll find a way to make it work. So I don’t understand how I’m giving him false hope? My mother would love it if I married my ex and got back with him but then she also says that he doesn’t value me or deserve me. She’s just really confusing and every minute she wants to talk about my life and give me unsolicited advice. She’s saying that the guy I’m talking too has a gf, which he doesn’t and saying that he’s a manipulator without even having met him.
