I ruptured but Drs saved both of us.
UPDATE:
Lacey had to be transfered to another hospital and is now in neo natintensive care. I was transfered to and now have bleeding from my kidneys from the complications from the surgery. However I am being treated for the problem and will recover. Lacey is taking one day at a time but she is doing as well as can be.
For all the ladies asking my last cesarean was two years prior. The reason for rupture was the thin lower segment.
When you contract it tears open. So you need to get to the hospital so fast when you start to labor.
Yesterday day I was admitted because my cesarean scar was burning. This is the earliest sign of rupture. I went sleep and I woke up drenched in sweat, in pain, and I was in labor. This was on top of the burning sensation which was far worse.
The Drs came over with a bed side ultrasound machine and he checked my scar, which confirmed I was rupturing. I was rushed over to birth suite and the Dr and Consultant told me to get my husband here.
The anaesthetist came in do do my epidural. I was a pin cushion because she couldn't get it in. She finally did after half an hour. Time was of the essence and the Drs ran me to theatre. My husband just made it.
Another anaesthetist came in and said he was taking over from the other one. He attempted to give me the full dose to numb me. It didn't work at all. The original one said it's ok it will working by the time they start cutting me open. I said I can feel everything still and it's not working. She tried convincing me it's normal and the surgery will go ahead. The new anaesthetist said the Drs will pinch me really hard before hand to make sure I'm ok first. Less then 30 seconds later I yell ouch to the pinch.
I was then told by my Dr and Consultant we have to put you under right now. I was scared and they kicked my husband out before we could say goodbye to each other.
I wake up 3 hours later thank God. I was in surgery for 2 hours and lost 4 litres of blood and required blood transfusion. I had a full rupture in theatre my bladder has a 3cm hole in it and all my girl parts ovaries, uterus etc were removed. There were other problems but I don't know about them until I see the Dr tomorrow morning.
Lacey Luna Jones was born and saved by a big team of Drs and nurses. She is on CPAP and is expected to there a number of weeks. She was 5lbs and born at 34+2.. Best Easter Sunday gift ever.
