Our newborn is 3 weeks old. We have a toddler so one of us also has to be awake during the day. Nights have been hell - our baby only sleeps on us or her swing. Obviously we can’t let her sleep in her swing while we’re sleeping, and we’ve accidentally dozed off a few times with her in our arms which TERRIFIES me. She hates her bassinet, which is right by our bed.

She has a nursery with a crib, we’re going to try having her take her daily naps in there today and see how she likes it since the mattress is more comfortable than the thin bassinet mattress.

There’s not a lot of room for her crib to fit into our room. Is it safe for her to sleep in her nursery if we go out and buy a baby monitor?
